There are two methods to install linaro builds:

  1. using pre-built image
  2. creating your own image with linaro image tools

Using pre-built image

Insert SD card and note the assigned ‘/dev/sdX’ or ‘/dev/mmcblk0’

dmesg

Download the image and flash the SD card

SDCARD=/dev/sdX # sdcard found from dmesg above
URL=http://releases.linaro.org/12.12/ubuntu/boards/panda/panda-quantal_developer_20121217-20.img.gz
curl $URL | gunzip | sudo dd bs=64k of=$SDCARD

Note: Windows users may use the Image Writer for Windows.

Creating your own image

wget http://releases.linaro.org/12.12/ubuntu/boards/panda/linaro-quantal-developer-20121217-13.tar.gz
