Linaro binutils 2.24.0 2014.09

The Linaro Toolchain Working Group is pleased to announce the 2014.09 release of Linaro binutils 2.24.0, the seventh release in the 2.24 series. This release is based on the latest GNU binutils 2.24 stable branch, but with additional features and bug fixes.

Additional Features

  • ARM: Implement veneers for Thumb conditional branch
  • AArch64: Decode DWARF register numbers in objdump
  • AArch64: Improve support for copy relocations of various types
  • Switch to new src-release.sh and xz compressed tarballs

Bug Fixes

  • ARM: Fix gas parsing of vcmp immediate value
  • ARM: Fix configuring for armeb-*-eabi*
  • AArch64: Fix encoding of register numbers in DWARF
